Winter Sleigh Rides at Bar W

Our Winter Sleigh Ride season has ended! Please check back next season for updated opening dates.

When the temperature drops, it’s time to bundle up in winter gear and harness our favorite gentle giants- the draft teams! Gliding across Montana’s snow-blanketed landscape while cozied up under a plush blanket with family and friends on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, is a wintertime tradition.

Each sleigh ride winds through open fields and woodlands, giving you the chance to take in the beauty of the snow-covered landscape. The Bar W is located at the base of Spencer Mountain, providing an optional view of timbered ridges, Spencer Lake, and Montana’s expansive beauty.

Sleigh Ride Details

Bar W can fill each sleigh with 10 people. We can fill up to three sleighs a day. Sleigh ride booking begins at 1:00pm each day. Once the 1:00pm sleigh fills to 50%, we will open the 3:00pm ride and when that fills to 50%, we will open the 10:00am ride. Note, If you have more riders than is available in the sleigh, please give us a call and we can place you in one of the other sleighs together. Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee after the sleigh ride. Please note, Bar W Sleigh Rides will be closed on Wednesdays this season.

We do not have a minimum number of riders! Our sleigh ride rates are $65 per person. Friendly reminder, Bar W's updated policy on kids. Children over 1 will be charged ($65), infants under 1 will be free when riding on their parent's lap

Note, for 2025/2026 season, there will be sleigh rides available on New Years Day!
