The Outdoor Arena(136 X 232)
Our arena is a true western style arena where we conduct clinics, give lessons, offer team penning, and Kid's Rodeo. The outdoor arena is perfect for horseback riding activities during your guest ranch vacation package.
The Gazebo
Our private Gazebo is located just feet from Spencer Lake. Furnished with picnic tables, a wood stove, and peaceful view of Spencer Lake, the Gazebo is the perfect place to relax. Looking for a quiet escape? The Gazebo is perfect for that too.
Glacier View Ridge
This is a must-see at the Bar W. Located on the edge of Spencer Mountain, the Ridge is our favorite spot for a campfire and cowboy singing. With spectacular views of the ranch, guests can see the mountains of Glacier National Park through the trees. The switch-backs up to the Ridge are perfect for a short hike to enjoy the pristine Montana forest.
The Private Trout Pond
Located just down from the lodge, the trout pond is a great place for adults and kids to try their hand at fishing or sit back and relax with a good book. It is stocked full of some very large, 5-10 pound trout – catch and release, of course, so all can enjoy.
Spencer Lake
There is a gravel path leading to the lake for easy walking and a dock used for swimming and water sports. We have kayaks, paddle boards, a rowboat, and canoes. Paddle across the lake and enjoy the beautiful wildlife that call Spencer Lake home. Full of large perch and pike, Spencer Lake is a great place to try your hand at fishing. However, if you plan to fish Spencer Lake, or off Bar W property, you will need a state fishing license.
